Have a look at these gorgeous photos from the recent wedding of Tabitha and Luke. The lovely bride had a fabulous eye for detail and supplied so many little extras to theme the wedding.
The giant white balloons and silver tin vases with babies breath framed the aisle beautifully, tying in with the white, silver and black theme.
Tabitha had an abundance of vases with white flowers, even above the bridal party at the ceremony.
The refreshment table held the ceremony programs, iced water and cute cookies with silver glitter icing for her guests. The enormous “T&L” letters looked brilliant.
A string quartet provided entertainment for the guests and also played the bridal entrance music. Live music at the ceremony is so romantic.
The seating plan was drawn up on a blackboard at the entrance to the reception room and decorated with more flowers and the balloons.
The reception room looked lovely with the white and silver theme and the bridal party on the stage. Martini vases with white flowers were the beautiful centre pieces provided by Flower en Counter.
Table numbers were made to match the theme, as well as menus that doubled as bags for the lolly buffet.
The 2 tier wedding cake was also adorned by flowers and edible silver spots.
Such a beautiful wedding with so many original ideas by the couple. Best wishes to the new Mr and Mrs …
There were some amazing decorations and props sourced for the French 1920s themed event. So much detail ….
Baguette bread and suitcase boxes make perfect decorations for a 1920’s / Gatsby theme.
The wonderful Peter Crichton recently conducted a wedding photography workshop with us and has kindly shared these beautiful images.
We’re setting up tonight for a dinner with a Black and White theme, and I wanted to share some pictures of it with you.
In particular, we’ve set the tables up with a rather unique format, and I think it works really nicely to encourage guests to talk with one another. We wanted to set up two really long tables, but in a sort of nested “V” configuration to help guests talk to those around them, and not just the person seated beside them.
Here’s the floor plan of what we wanted to achieve:
Here’s what it looked like once we set it up inside the room:
I think this would work really well for a small, intimate reception, or for a sit-down engagement party dinner.
The theme is Black and White, so we used simple white tablecloths with plain black chair covers – no sashes or any “fussy” detailing to detract from the elegant simplicity.
To keep the tables feeling long and streamlined,we ran long black satin runners through the centre of each “V”, then topped it with square mirror bases set diagonally. On top of these are crystal and wire “branches” and a string of fairly lights threaded through.
To add a bit of warmth to the space, we covered a a side table with black Lycra, and placed on top a really big floral display featuring all white flowers with black accents and a sleek black vase.
And there you have it! Our Elegant Black and White dinner is all set for tonight.
What do you think of the way we’ve set up the tables? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

The cigarette girl costume looked awesome.
Canapes were served on mirrors and the labels were tea light candles with black paper and chalk descriptions. Very cool.
Hats with signs and suspenders looked great on the guys.

I love these beach photos with the bridal party …
The room looked stunning with ceiling draping, fairy light backdrop, crystal centre pieces and candles galore. Sandy provided table “names” of Irish Towns.
